Northern Illinois Adventure Racing's Annual Winter Orienteering Event

YAK-Off 3

Hopefully teams were able to preview the maps and have a feel for what the race entails. Here are the videos about the race. If you have any questions after watching them just let me know. I was hoping to have a chance to edit the videos, but ran into some outdated computer issues! We tried to keep them as brief as we could.

Introduction video - (both the 4 and 10 hour racers should watch this)

4 Hour race video - (Reminder that Teams 1-19 paddle first and Teams 20-37 paddle second / if you need to change paddle slots since you are racing with another team just let me know).

10 Hour race video - (FYI - there is a water spigot at TA 1 with bathrooms / the red X's on the bike section are off limits for racer safety. Reminder that the CPs in the first o-section are worth two points each).

If you have any questions or found some big errors on our part just let us know and we will address them. I will be out on the course the next two days, but will periodically check my messages. Please write these phone numbers down in case anything happens out on the course (especially the 10 hour). Mike - 618-303-2436 / John 815-520-3771 (Mike does a better job answering his phone). Racers might want to put phones in a waterproof case.
